How It Works
Built on Open Standards
FetchRight is built on the foundation of the peek-then-pay opensource specification. This open standard enables publishers to define machine-readable policies for AI content access and licensing.
The peek.json specification provides a standardized way for publishers to communicate their content policies to AI systems, ensuring transparent and enforceable licensing across the web.
1. Set Your Policies
Publishers define their content licensing policies, including pricing, usage restrictions, and access controls for AI crawlers.
2. Automated Enforcement
Our platform automatically enforces your policies when AI systems attempt to access your content, ensuring compliance and proper attribution.
3. Track & Get Paid
Monitor usage in real-time, track which AI systems are accessing your content, and receive payments based on your defined pricing structure.
The peek.json Open Standard
FetchRight implements and extends the peek-then-pay specification, an open standard that enables publishers to define machine-readable policies for AI content access and licensing.
This specification allows publishers to place a simple /.well-known/peek.json file on their website that tells AI systems:
- What content is available for AI access
- How much it costs to use different types of content
- What usage restrictions apply
- How to properly attribute the source
- Contact information for licensing inquiries
By building on this open standard, FetchRight ensures interoperability and gives publishers control over their content in the age of AI.
